6/100 Days of Self Love

The other day my family came to visit me in Vegas and watched me perform. While I was performing, my niece who is 12 was laughing so loud that it made us start laughing behind our masks while on stage. Laughter is so contagious and wonderful! Really, its such a beautiful sound! So, my assignment for yesterday was to laugh more often OUTLOUD. Its simple, right? But often times I find myself enjoying something silently, which is fine of course, but I wanted to express that emotion with whoever I was with. I did find myself forgetting this throughout the day but kept coming back to it. I think this will be a permanent choice for me. J It made me enjoy everything more when I remembered.

Today I am also taking some time to journal and reflect on how I handle difficult situations and choices. I am making a list of the top 5 ineffective techniques I use to deal with things and I’ll share it with you. While I do have new techniques now, its always important to be honest with yourself about where you’re starting from and what doesn’t work.

Top 5 Tough Situation (Ineffective) Techniques:

Solution –

  1. Call a friend and vent
  2. Call a friend and ask what to do

Avoid –

  1. Sleep
  2. Eat sweets
  3. Seclude myself

Now I am leaning into effective things like

  1. Pray
  2. Journal
  3. Meditate
  4. Landmark work
  5. Art

    These exercises are amazing, I have been feeling so much self-awareness and worth, especially in the areas of confidence, self-trust, and friendships!
